An RV Dealer Can Help You Find the Right Solution for Your Family

It is almost time for summer and as an RV dealer, we are getting excited. We love this time of year because it is the perfect time to grab the kids and hit the open road. We became a dealer because we love getting out there just as much as you do. Planning for RV trips is a lot of fun, especially when you do it together as a family. So, with your vacation list in mind, we encourage you to head over to our dealership and find the perfect RV or trailer for this years' adventures.

What are my options?

For those who have never owned an RV or trailer before, it can be overwhelming seeing all the available options and trying to figure out which one to buy. To start, it helps to understand the different options. Here is a simple breakdown, but the best way to explore is to visit an RV dealer in person. Pop-up campers

A pop-up camper is an excellent option for someone who does not have a large truck or SUV to haul a trailer. Pop-ups can even be towed by mid-size sedans as long as they are under a certain weight limit. When folded completely flat, they look like a utility trailer that is fully enclosed. However, once at the campsite, the roof can either be cranked up or lifted automatically. Afterward, the bedrooms pop out. This means that the base slides out from the camper and a canvas canopy encloses the sleeping area.

The main area of the trailer contains the dinette and kitchen while the pop-up portions are where people typically sleep. Some of them even have a restroom. Also, there is a hybrid option where the trailer remains upright and enclosed the entire time with the bedrooms being the only thing that pops out once at the final destination.

Trailers

Hauled behind a large SUV or truck, a trailer is a perfectly enclosed home that you tow behind you. It is an ideal solution for anyone who wants the ability to separate sleeping and living quarters from the actual vehicle. For example, if a family likes to camp near major towns, it can be easier to park the trailer, detach it, and then use the truck or SUV to go exploring like normal.

Trailers come in a wide range of sizes, weights, and layouts, but in general are very spacious.

Fifth-wheel

Hauled behind a large truck, a fifth wheel trailer will give you the most amount of space. Not only are they incredibly long like a standard trailer but there is a bedroom that ends up going above the truck bed. This creates a situation where you can easily have two master bedrooms, giving plenty of living and sleeping space to bigger families.

Class C

Class C is a convenient fully enclosed RV. Typically, they have full kitchens, bathrooms and living areas in addition to a bedroom in the back and a sleeping area over where the driver is. Some also come equipped with bunk beds and slide outs to create additional space. A Class C is easy to drive, convenient and tends to provide more sleeping space than a Class A, even though they are less expensive.

Class A

Class A RVs are the Mack Daddy of RV-ing. These are the top-of-the-line recreational vehicles that are designed with every luxury in mind. The living and kitchen areas are largest, everything is enclosed and some folks even live in them year-round. They also have a large master bedroom in the back.
